It’s Time...

Pinelands’ Enrichment Program

starts up this Friday, Sept. 2nd  !

 

Our new families have attended the orientation meeting and have received their Enrichment folders.

 

We ask that returning families

pick up their Enrichment folders containing the

2011-2012 Directory and Volunteer Sheets

on September 2nd  in the Conference Room (room 6).

 

 

Here’s a Quick Review for our Returning Families

 

Doors open at 8:45, teachers and volunteers

are expected to be in class before the class is

scheduled to begin.

 

Volunteers, we ask that you accurately mark the attendance sheets as they will be considered for families with children on the waiting list this year and those wishing to return next year.

 

As a safety measure once attendance is taken

please lock the classroom door.

 

Nursery is available for your younger children (newborns to three years old) while you are volunteering.  Keep in mind that older siblings cannot visit or be in the nursery.

 

Skateboards, Heelys, roller blades, etc,

are to be left at home.

 

Electronic devices will be confiscated by the teacher if they are being used by the student while in class. 

You and your child may pick up the confiscated item in room 6

at the end of your day at Enrichment.

 

Remind your children to pick up after themselves once they’re done eating lunch.

 

Please review the guidelines with your children.

 

Please help us keep the cost of air conditioning the classrooms down by maintaining the doors closed, especially during the ten minutes between classes.

 

All visitors are to stop by the Conference Room to be introduced/meet a Committee Member. 

A visitor name tag will be issued for the day. 

 

Who is a visitor? Anyone not in regular attendance on Friday. All visitors will be expected to follow PEP Guidelines

while on the property.

Classes, which run on Fridays, are scheduled to begin

An orientation meeting for registered families
will be held on Friday, August 19th at 10:30 a.m. at
Pinelands Presbyterian Church

Review the schedule and course descriptions that are available on the website for next year with your children to ensure that these classes are of interest to them.  All classes selected should be within the same grade level; no mixing of grade levels will be allowed. Please carefully consider the financial and time commitments these classes require before filling out and mailing your application.
 
Keep in mind that space is limited. Applications will be considered based on the following criteria: PEP families desiring to return will be considered upon reviewing their prior Enrichment commitment level: attendance, child’s behavior and participation (homework, preparedness, etc), parent’s volunteering record and history of dropping classes or dropping out of the program.  First time applicants will be placed before those families that have not met the requirements.
  
 We will begin mailing acceptance notifications towards mid-July.
 

Enrollment fee* is $60 per family

Early birds will receive a discount rate of $50 if postmarked
by June 24th.

Make check payable to Pinelands Presbyterian Church
and remit to the above address.

 
*This fee is non-refundable.
