A Couple of Quick Notes.....

Our 11th - 12th Grade TBA is now being announced....
Surviving Lit Class
11th - 12th Grade
Teacher: Mrs. Sanchez

Our objective will be to learn how to:
* Identify the literary elements of plot, theme, and character in work
* Use indirect characterizations and psychoanalytic criticism to analyze a character in a work and explain how the character contributes to plot and theme.
* Structure an analytical essay based on your analysis

We will learn the above and more while reading Dr. Suess's The Cat in the Hat. Therefore, this means you will need to bring a copy of this great book to class. If you do not want to buy the book, the Miami Dade Public Library System has 53 copies. You can check your copy out for 4 weeks and then renew it for the following two weeks of class.

As far as homework, this class will have very little homework assigned.

* Please check your child's class syllabi on the website's Syllabi page for assignments due, if any, and any materials needed on the Course Descriptions page for 2nd semester classes.
* 2nd Semester classes begin January 7th, 2011

Have a Blessed Christmas!
